Hello everyone!
Before I talk about my accomplishments, I want to talk about my mission and purpose. My ultimate aim is to help men and women achieve their ultimate fitness goals and learn to love and feel good about themselves. When anyone asks me what my purpose in life is, I tell them it is to inspire and educate anyone who wants to make a change to live a better life. Often people tend to struggle with wanting to make better, healthier choices. I fully understand because I too had issues with myself at one point and made unhealthy choices when it came to my mind and body. My mission is to build you up physically, mentally, and emotionally so that you become unstoppable in reaching all of your goals!
Before I became a personal trainer, I co-founded a successful gym in Long Beach, Ca. I always wanted to push myself to be better and challenge myself physically and mentally. I was intrigued by bodybuilding and decided to take it to the next level by doing my very first figure competition. I competed for a little over seven years, making it to national level shows but never won a pro card. The whole experience taught me so much about myself, but it left me with emptiness inside. So I decided to retire from competing. I knew I wanted to do more. When I stopped competing, the doors opened up for me. I trained a celebrity, appeared on a popular Los Angeles radio and television news station.
My biggest accomplishment is and continues to love myself and be confident in my own skin. In the past, I had body issues and struggled with how I look. I even questioned whether I should be lifting weights because of negative feedback from people. I realized after some time, what people thought of me doesn’t matter and never should! We all can relate to this on some level. The gym and training clients is a significant part of my life. I want to share my knowledge and trust with you in helping you build the confidence you deserve.
Studies have shown that physical activity is one of the primary factors when evaluating a person’s overall health. Physical activity strengthens the body to improve various components like the cardiovascular system, from your immune system to your blood and circulatory systems to your mental health. Exercise can also help you avoid physical injuries.
The first time you try working out your muscles, it'll probably feel heavy and awkward. You'll need to work your way up to lifting impressive poundage. If you take a break from working out and return months later, you'll find it's much easier to get back up to the weights you were lifting before. And the same is true no matter what your exercise of choice—it's simply easier to put lost muscle back on than it is to bulk up for the first time.
Water is essential for life. A primary key to survival has been the prevention of dehydration. Without water, humans can survive only for days. Thus, the American Council on Exercise has suggested the following basic guidelines for drinking water before, during, and after exercise: Drink 17 to 20 ounces of water 2 to 3 hours before you start exercising. Drink 8 ounces of water 20 to 30 minutes before you start exercising or during your warm-up.
Along with eating healthy and exercising, getting quality sleep is an essential part of weight maintenance. Poor sleep intensely changes the way the body responds to food. For example your craving increases and you are less likely to fight temptations and control portions when you are tired. A study in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition found that when people were starved of sleep, late-night snacking increased, and they were more likely to choose high-carb snacks.
What Is the Best Way to Lose Fat?
The simple and multipart answer is that there is no “best way” to lose fat. Each client will respond differently to a training program. Fitness professionals can apply when designing their clients’ programs.
